Jon Fellows: (Observer: Steve Legg)
"Just wanted to say a quick thank you to everyone for their help, support and advice over the last few months especially Steve Legg, which has led me to passing my test today. I will hopefully see everyone on Sunday for the ride out. All the best to you all and will see you soon. Cheers"
Alan Dyke: (Observer: Scott Howard)
"I would like to say a really special thanks to Scott Howard who was excellent as an observer. Also, big thanks to Pete Carder and others in the group for their time and support."
Jon Humphrey: (Observer: Lee Parkes)
"I'm really pleased to announce that I've passed my Advanced Motorcycle Test today. It was a warm, sunny day, perfect for motorcycling, so that was an added bonus.
Special thanks goes to Lee Parkes for his excellent tuition over the last four and half months, of which he's been observing both myself and Rob on most of the 9 or so observed rides. We feel he has given-up alot of his own time in order to provide us with unrivalled support and attention; very professional in every way.
Thanks also go to Pete Carder for his excellent tuition during the pre-test aseessment rides.
Finally, the group, as a whole, have been so friendly and supportive since we joined the Club in June. I look forward to continuing my membership and joining you all at the social events."
Rob Holmwood: (Observers: Lee Parkes, Pete Carder and John Murphy)
"Thanks to Lee Parkes, Pete Carder, John Murphy and others within the group for their help and advice".
Rachel Rushton: (Observers: Paul Atkinson and Gerald Palmer)
Rachel may well the youngest person in the group to have passed their test! Thanks go to Paul Atkinson and Gerald Palmer for helping her along the way. Most especially thanks should go to Brian Johnson who taught her how to ride well in the first place.
Nigel Walpole: (Observer: Mark Harbord)
Not only did he pass today, Saturday 13th August 2011, he passed with 16 x1s & 2x2s. "Many thanks to Mark for his advice / nagging and all the time he has put into the observing, to Paul Brant & Pete Carder for their contributions and all the a other WAM members who helped me. My examiner was obviously impressed with my performance on the day. For once I remembered to cancel indicators after each turning. Many thanks to Mark for his advice / nagging and all the time he has put into the observing, to Paul Brant & Pete Carder for their contributions and all the a other WAM members who helped me".
"Congratulations to both Nigel and to Mark Harbord his observer".
Mark Southall: (Observer: Richard Baker and Peter Carder)
"Yes he was nervous and he was not totally happy with his ride. The traffic he encountered tested his forward planning, speed control and patience. There were plenty of obstacles on the route and at the start of the test Mark was told, 'under no circumstances do you exceed the speed limit.' When questioned at the end of the test Mark was able to justify his riding plan and show just how controlled and calmly he had made is decisions along the way. Finally Mark would like to thank Richard Baker and Peter Carder for all their input, advice and assistance along the way. He is most grateful."
"Well done Mark. It is a nerve wracking experience and it takes a bit of calm, confidence and remembering all you have been told to get through."
Michael Collins (Observer: Steven Legg & Peter Carder)
"As the subject title implies, I have passed but with a row of "1"s. So it would appear I am in the one club. Needless to say I am overwhelmed, but realise that a big thanks goes to the efforts of Pete Carder and Steve Legg who gave freely of their time and expertise and of course the cameraderie of the group which makes this feel more of a group achievement!"
Steve Craig (Observer: Dave Fullwood)
"Just a quick note to say that on Tuesday evening, I took my Advanced Test with Roy Steventon at Telford and was awarded a pass. May I express my very grateful thanks to you for making sure the test was at a more appropriate venue. It was challenge enough without having to navigate an unfamiliar area. Also thanks to Pete Carder who did some last minute fine tuning with me before the test and let me make all my mistakes then. A really big thank you to Dave Fullwood, my observer for input, patience, knowledge, wisdom, time and enthusiasm to see me succeed. See you all at the next rideout/meeting with a big smug grin".
Steve Hare (Observer: Peter Carder)
"I passed my test yesterday with Roy Steventon at Telford. No real dramas, just a solid ride – not my best, but close. Many thanks to Pete, Pam, Richard and Mark (Wiseman) for their help and invaluable guidance on my Observed Runs. Eventually, I got the messages about following distances and speed limits - thanks particularly to Pete as my Observer!!! A general thanks to everyone in the club as well for being so supportive of us Associates. Onwards to Observer training now for me – when Pete’s workload allows".

George Clark (Observer: Paul Morrey)
Stuart Hyde (Observers: Sean Jones & Peter Carder)
"Both observers were always there, rain or shine, with fantastic, solid, specific advice ... Always obviously geared to our own specific riding styles and needs. It was the sort of help that really ought to cost a fortune. I'm sorry, it's a terrible cliche but we really couldnt have done it without you, so thanks from both of us".
Rhianydd Hyde (Observers: Sean Jones & John Greene)
We would like to congratulate you all on attaining membership to the IAM.
